Branch 1 – HFIC Agency Party Committee held the Q4/2023 specialized activity session

On December 9 and 10, 2023, Branch 1 – the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City State Investment and Financial Company held a specialized activity program in Lagi Town, Binh Thuan Province.

During the trip, Branch 1 visited the Trường Dục Thanh Historical Site and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Binh Thuan branch, where President Ho Chi Minh once stayed. Here, all party members received briefings on his teaching activities and historical relics. In 1910, on his journey to seek a path to save the country, teacher Nguyễn Tất Thành (later President Ho Chi Minh) stopped here and became the youngest teacher at the school, at only 20 years old.

In addition to teaching the Vietnamese script, Chinese characters, and French (when the French teacher was absent), Teacher Thành also taught physical education. In February 1911, Nguyễn Tất Thành left Trường Dục Thanh for Saigon and boarded a ship to continue pursuing his ideals and the path to save the country.

Paying respects to President Ho Chi Minh

With his loving nature, closeness to students, diligence in learning, reading, and connecting with the life of the poor laborers in Phan Thiet, although he taught there for a short time, he left a shining example as a teacher for all generations of local and national descendants to follow. After Ho Chi Minh passed away, in 1978, Trường Dục Thanh was handed over by Nguyễn Thông’s descendants to the State for preservation and restoration, completed in 1980.

For historical reasons, Trường Dục Thanh closed in 1912. To commemorate the places where Ho Chi Minh stayed, in 1978, it was handed over to the State, restored and renovated to its original form, completed in 1980.

Next to the school is an exhibition house on the life and career of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, built and inaugurated in 1986. The exhibition includes a solemn room dedicated to commemorating Ho Chi Minh, often visited by people for paying respects, reporting achievements, and conducting Youth Union or Party admission ceremonies.

The Dục Thanh Historical Site was classified as a National Historical Site by the Ministry of Culture and Information under Decision No. 235/QĐ/VH dated December 12, 1986.
